As a Kingdom entrepreneur, you’re called to operate differently in the business world. The way things are run in the kingdom is different from how things are run in the world. To succeed and have upper hand in the marketplace, you’ll need to develop certain qualities that align with Kingdom principles. Here are four key qualities to focus on:
- Vision
A Kingdom entrepreneur needs a God-given vision for their business. This means seeing opportunities that others may miss and believing in your vision even when others don’t. As Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables.” Your vision will drive you forward, even in the face of challenges. Proverbs 29:18 enlighens “Where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”. Without a clear vision, you’ll struggle to stay motivated and focused. Your ability to see beyond the present circumstances will help keep you going when you are starting and whenever you face challenges along the way. Your vision will give you a competitive edge in the marketplace and help you navigate challenges effectively. Protect your vision and stay focused. When vision is compromised, motion is reduced, and momentum is lost.

- Diligence
Diligence is key to standing out in your industry. Proverbs 22:29, the Amplified bible version says, “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” If you want to leave behind obscurity and stand out in every competition, you need to be diligent even before you start seeing the results of your labour. By being diligent, you’ll demonstrate your commitment to excellence and position yourself for success. Don’t play with your work – it’s your business, life, and future. Whatever you don’t work on now cannot take care of you in the future.
- Integrity
Integrity is vital for building trust and reputation in business. Luke 6:31 teaches “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise”, while Matthew 5:37 says “But let your communication be, Yea, yea, Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil”, emphasising the importance of being truthful in our communication. As a Kingdom entrepreneur, you should strive to be a person of excellent character and integrity. The “golden rule” of treating others the way you would like to be treated also applies in business. Ensure delivery on your promises, pay suppliers on time, and operate with transparency. By doing so, you’ll earn a good reputation and get your business noticed for all the right reasons. Regardless of cultural or ethnic background, integrity is essential for success. Let your “yes” be “yes” and your “no” be “no.” By operating with integrity, you’ll build trust with your customers, suppliers, and partners, and set yourself up for long-term success.

4. Generosity
As a Kingdom entrepreneur, you’re not just building a business; you’re also called to make a positive impact on the world around you. One of the key qualities that can help you achieve this is generosity. Let’s explore how generosity can be a game-changer for your business and life. Proverbs 11:25 says, “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” In the Amplified Bible version, the word “fat” was replaced with “enrich”. The Good News Bible translates the same verse as “Be generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be helped.”. The Message Bible says, “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped”. all these emphasise the principle of sowing and reaping. When you’re generous, you’re not just blessing others; you’re also opening yourself up to receiving blessings in return. By helping others, you’ll be helped, and your business will prosper.
A Kingdom entrepreneur’s main ambition is not just to accumulate wealth or enrich themselves but to make a positive impact on the world. Successful Kingdom entrepreneurs of recent times, such as John D. Rockefeller, were known as generous philanthropists, helping to advance the work of the Kingdom of God, spreading the Gospel, and being a blessing to many people. By being generous, you’ll not only be blessing others, but you’ll also be creating a memorial that will outlast you. By following their example, you’ll be well on your way to building a successful business that not only brings financial rewards but also makes a lasting impact on the world. You are the custodian of what you are given. Never wait to be begged before you know the right thing to do in the Church or for the Kingdom of God. No man can receive anything except they are given, and when you are given, be a channel especially to the body of Christ and watch how God change your life, level and business.
Pray these prayers:
- Lord, work on my sight, show me where to go and follow concerning my business.
- I receive the grace to be Diligent in my work/business.
- I am a man/woman of integrity; the condition of this country cannot turn me to become a liar.
- Oh Lord, enlarge my coast.
- I receive a given grace
- I am a giver, I am a blessing to my generation.
In Jesus’ mighty name.
Now, I pray for you:
- That business cannot die.
- That business is going places
- The hand of the Lord is upon your work.
- I see foreign doors open for you
- God will give you peace roundabout
- It is well with you
In Jesus’ mighty Name
