There are battles surrounding the promises of God for every man. An individual might have been destined for greatness but may end up as a nonentity if he doesn’t fight and conquer the battles surrounding those promises. For every prophecy that goes forth, the enemy tries everything possible to make it become as falsehood. When God speaks, you must go to war, after you have received the promise of God, then the next thing is to begin to ‘fight’, I mean you must war with the Word of God so that the promises of God upon your life will become a reality. If you fold your arms and watch, you may end up in frustration.

“All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.” Psalms 118:10-12

These are enemies God will not do anything about until you arise to fight. You are the one who must arise, wage war against them and destroy them by yourself in the name of the Lord. The enemy will always contend with the word of God on a person, business or even family. That you are facing opposition in any area of your life does not mean God has not spoken. It is your duty to identify and crush every enemy surrounding God’s promises for you. May you identify and crush every enemy surrounding your prophecies in Jesus name.

“Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” Deuteronomy 2:24

If God says He has given you something; why must you contend for it again? Anything you get on a platter of gold, you will not value and may eventually lose it. But when you contend for it and get it, you would value and treasure it so much that you don’t want to lose it.

TRUTH ABOUT GOD’S PROMISES

  • Don’t become complacent with prophecy; if God says it, it is because He is able to do it. Don’t start looking for pity from people by looking and behaving defeated.

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” II Corinthians 1:20

  • The word of God cannot fail, it has never failed. Anywhere you see people with the word of God on them and it looks like they are failing; it is either because they are not doing anything about the word or they are simply not fighting enough.

“Blessed be the Lord that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he has promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” I Kings 8:56

  • If God is never slack concerning His promises, why are you slack? You don’t sleep with the word of God, you run with it.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9

  • Whatever you don’t have now, you will have soon. Don’t allow momentary challenges to stop future glory. God expects you to become wiser, better and stronger through your challenges, so you can teach others how to overcome.

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2 Tim 2:3

  • Perhaps, you are asking or wondering whether the enemy has no other thing to get himself engaged. Well, let me tell you that the enemy does have work and his work is to stop and hinder the children of God while your own work, on the other hand, is to crush and frustrate its efforts. One person must go for the other and there must be a winner in every contest; may you emerge the winner in Jesus name.

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” I Corinthians 16:9
