“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.”   Zach 4:6, 9

In life, it is very common to see people around who start a project but cannot complete because of one challenge or the other. God is a finisher, because He is the Alpha and the Omega. So, if God is your Alpha and Omega, there is no reason you should start something and stop halfway.

To finish a project you start in life is not by might nor power, not even connection or how big or small the plan is but by the help of God.

When you are always starting and dropping things without finishing, it might mean the devil is on your case to ensure you don’t have anything to show for life. And if this syndrome is not addressed, it automatically becomes inherited by coming generations. Every good project your hands have started you shall finish with speed and in grand style in Jesus name.

The strategy the devil uses is to disrupt or completely stop the flow of funds the moment you begin a project. Once fund ceases, you begin to complain and murmur; and this grieves God in no small measure. There are many who can’t manage a small shop successfully and they wonder how people who run big businesses go about it.  I pray for you, every power that stops the flow of finance on your projects die today.

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” Gen 2:1

A brother was telling me sometime ago how he was able to save close to eleven million naira to fund a project he had on ground. Just while I began to jubilate with him, he told me not to rejoice yet and he went ahead to tell me how he fell ill and spent all he had saved on the strange sickness after which he became fine again. That was obviously the handwork of the enemy.

When you start something and don’t finish, you are not rewarded, it is he who finishes that is rewarded. Rewards in life don’t come without result. There are so many insults people endure in life because they lack result. May you have results to show in life in Jesus name.

In Gen 2:1, the Bible says God finished; if God finished, then you must finish too in Jesus name. A little abandonment here and there makes life colorless.

“So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar. So Solomon built the house, and finished it. I Kings 6:9, 14

I pray for you again, it doesn’t matter whether your parents finished or not, every good thing your hands have started, you shall complete in Jesus name.

“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:34

There are people whom God has given visions in various walks of life, but are yet to complete one. How do you expect to cope with a new vision when you have not successfully completed or executed previous ones? As a person, do you imagine what you would look like if God didn’t finish creating you? There is a particular age you get to in life that people won’t help you again. They begin to expect to receive from you instead. May you not be a story teller in Jesus name.

Jesus said ‘I have finished my work’, every work you begin, you must finish. All that we are pursuing, God created in just six days; everything about the gospel we are preaching today, Jesus finished in just three and half years. If God your father has unusual speed, you must not be sluggish. You must resemble your Father!

When you don’t finish the things you start, you cannot have anything to leave for your children. As an employee, no matter how much you serve in that company, you cannot inherit it. You must find out what God’s plan is for you, and then pursue it to accomplishment. God hates abandoned project.

II Sam 5:11; Neh 6:15

There are people who up to this moment have not even completed marital rites on their wife. Yes, it can be that bad. God is helping you complete every abandoned project in your life in Jesus name.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Tim 4:7

For you to be a Finisher

  • First you must make Jesus the Lord of your Life. Since he is the Alpha and Omega, He can always help you.
  • Do not embark on any project without asking Him. Many do not talk to God about their projects until they begin to have bottlenecks, after which they begin to cry to God. In life you will end up where you put God; if you put him first, He will do same for you.
  • Ask for direction before you begin any project, especially if no one has ever embarked on such project in your family. Even Kings go to prophets.
  • Locate your prophet – II Chron 20:20. You must have a spiritual father you talk to before embarking on anything worthwhile.
  • Break every curse. There are curses in families that prevent people from prospering or even hold people back from completing whatever it is they start. This you must consciously address and break in the name of Jesus.
  • You must be a tither.
  • Ensure you fulfill your vow.
  • Plan Your LIFE. Don’t just venture into things without counting the cost. Luke 14:28-30
